Repurposed 2 men's shirts

This looks much better on, because it fits so well. First time I actually made my own pattern and it fit me. I got the idea from Mama Made It and Cindy Lou, but not exactly like theirs. I put darts in the front so it would fit better and have one ruffle all the way around.

I got these shirts back in May for $.99 each.

The other shirt is from Simplicity 3835. I put the buttons in the back and added the shirt pocket at the bottom. I didn't hem either shirt, just used what was already there.

SO cute! I'm currently reworking a tuxedo shirt that belonged to my grandfather. Great job on making your own pattern!

This is a great idea! Too bad my husband wears holes in his clothes before giving them up!

They look great! I have two more shirts my son left behind after Christmas for repurposing. I love the buttons in the back. I may try that!

Just went to Mama Made It. We copied the same shirt!! Not surprising since everyone loves Anthropologie, and few can afford it. Thanks for showing me a neat new blog!

I saw that tuturial on My Mama Made it and it's on my to-do list. Yours turned out great. Now I can't wait to make one. (Except we are about to leave for vacation.)
