Ruby is modeling an apron I made for my friend Jessica. She wanted this vintage sheet with ruffles, lace and anything else I wanted to add. Ruby wants one exactly like it only a dress.
Jessica doesn't know it yet, but I just had to make one for her little Charleigh Rose. I think she'll love it too.

A Day With the Grandkids
Ruby wanted to show off her pillow she designed. I sewed it up for her. She's says it's a picture of her. Layla loves her pj's and would wear them all day long. She's eating macaroni and cheese she made herself in the microwave.
They live next door to these amazing horses. The young one loves these girls and visits them every day.
Layla feeding her some grass. There wasn't much to be found. We had a great day.

My new necklace and new utility room
First I wanted to show off this necklace I made. I used rectangle glass, diamond glaze to the picture. The picture is my grand kids from about 5 years ago. It was an old west type picture from the Smokey Mountains.
Next, for many years my washer and dryer had been here. I decided to move it and add my china cabinet to my dining room (where it should be).
The shower had been broken for years in my extra bath and I had been using it for storage. So we decided to take out the shower, put up a new wall and add my washer and dryer. It worked out great. My sewing room is across the hall. Works for me.

Dutch girls and a few vintage finds
I really love the little dutch girls pattern. My mother-in-law gave me this pattern when my kids were very small. She even helped me make a few of them. Then my grandmother helped me quilt. These are new ones I've been working on.
Here all is going well, then all of a sudden....................
Somehow this doesn't look quite right. I actually did this one more time after this one.
Found these at a local thrift store. The zipper repair kit was dated 1957.

Happy Valentine's Day form the Grandkids
My sweet girls came by last night to decorate their Valentine boxes and they wanted to show them off.
Ruby has on her pj's I made from a knit sheet. This is the 4th one I've and the only picture. First 2 made from Fleece, the 3 rd made from flannel and the last one here in knit. The knit was the easiest to sew. I used McCall's pattern 6475. Very easy to make.
I made the dolls for the girls last week from Sewing with Children.

Poodle skirts for the sock hop
My girls needed some poodle skirts for the sock hop held at their school last month. At the time I made them I didn't have a child pattern. So I went to the Internet and found a great pattern. I had an adult pattern and used the poodle from there and reduced them. They picked out their own fabric from my stash and let me know exactly how to finish it.
Don't know if you've seen the movie Frankenweenie but Ruby wanted her poodle to look like Sparky's girlfriend.

3 New Purses Made
I made this made from some wool fabric my Mom gave me. It's for my niece Ashley for Christmas. (By the way she loved it.) I use this pattern from Cold Hands Warm Heart blog. It was pretty fast and easy to do. Wish I had a pretty braid belt like she had.
Then I made 2 bags from Ana Graham at Noodlehead pattern. I love making this bag and plan on making some to sell very soon. This one is my favorite, but I did make the other one. The first one is made from corduroy for my Mom and she loved it. (She also made something for me, stay tuned).
This one is mine. I made from some fabric my dear friend Jenene gave me. Still have some left.

Amaryllis, Christmas tree and a finished quilt
Then to show off my pretty tree. It doesn't change much from year to year. That's okay I love it just the way it is.
Been working on this quilt for weeks and finally finished quilting. Another double wedding ring I found. All hand pieced and quilted by me. This one is mine. All mine.

Made more ornaments
I read Skook's blog last week and had to make some of these cute ornaments. She did an excellent job. We both ordered from Noia Land on etsy. She has lots of others to choose from. These are for my precious great-nephews Aiden and Princeton.
Then I had to make these for Ruby and Layla. They are obsessed with Adventure Land. Found these on Pinterest.

Making Ornaments
Hope everyone takes some time to sew some ornaments. They really are fun to make. I've got some others printed out to start on later.
Layla and Ruby really love Angry Birds so I've been searching for patterns. First I found this one. I loved the idea of beanbags. Then this post had some awesome patterns. These are Layla's and she wanted them to be beanbags. My husband (Dadoe) is making her a slingshot to use with these.
I really adored this beautiful ornament on etsy. I made my own. Not as pretty but I like it.
I printed out this pattern last year and just now making it. Partridge pattern is here.
Then I made this lovely snowflake ornament found here.
