Had an amazing time at the Open House Saturday. Sold lots of stuff. Ruby did well and sold lots of bottle cap magnets and necklaces. I plan on being there again on November 30th and December 7th. Hope to see my friends and family there.

Christmas Open House
These are a few of the things I've made to sell at an upcoming event this Saturday, November 16th. I'm so excited about it and hope it goes well. The event is an Open House at Old Stone Rabbit in Spring Hill, TN. She has also consigned by bags. She furnished the seed and flour bags and I made the bags. If you are in the area please come by.

Nightmare Before Christmas
Meet Sally and Jack Skellington. Outfits are so expensive so Mamoe made a Sally dress and a skeleton outfit. Their Mom is responsible for makeup and hair. They do look wonderful. Happy Halloween. |

Rhiannon's Dress
I had to show off this adorable, precious little Rhiannon. I made her dress from New Look 6688. Her Mom and Grandma did a fabulous job picking out the fabric and ribbons and all I had to do was sew. She had lots of pictures made and is truly a beautiful little child.

Busy Making School Clothes
Ruby said this is the best outfit I've ever made for her. It is made from flannel and I thought it would be too hot to wear it now, but she didn't think so. Hopefully she will wear a little shirt underneath. The top is from Simplicity 1674. It's so easy I made 3 of them. Two for Ruby and one for Layla. Also made 3 skirts from Simplicity 4439. |
Made each child a pair of capri's from Simplicity 4209. Also very easy to make. |
Sally, I think this is from the fabric you sent me. I still have about 2 yards. Ruby fell in love with it. |

First day of school with homemade backpacks
Yes, that is the Three Stooges, that's what Layla wanted. I've had this fabric for years and added some chalkboard oil cloth. It's a lot thicker than regular oil cloth. A lot harder to sew. |
Ruby wanted her bag to be all chalkboard fabric. The inside is a knit turtleneck.

Motorcycle riding and antique store
Thomas and I are having such a good time riding our motorcycle this summer. We usually ride in the late afternoon, but today we went early and stopped by my favorite antique store in Fairview, TN (Old Towne Antiques). Found this adorable jar called a Hottle. Never heard of it, but very cute.
Ruby loves birds and cages. This one was $4.00 because it has a bad place on the side.
I've been searching for this calendar for a while. It is 1975 the year we were married. I love the fall scene at a church. We married on October 17th. Plan on making a wall hanging with some of our pictures included.

Pinterest mason jar ideas
I'm really loving the idea of mason jars being used for other things. The 2 on the left are handsoap. the tall one on the right is a classico sauce jar. I do need to spray paint that lid. I love the tiny jar. I only had 2 of them and gave one to my granddaughter. It is sugar and dawn dishwashing liquid. It is a great scrub for you hands when you've been digging in the flower bed. I got the idea from One Good Thing blog.

My new bag
I made myself a new bag today. I've had the fabric for a while and decided I needed to use it for myself. It's just the right size for everything. The flower is an idea from pinterest. I really love it.

Something old made new again
My Mom gave me an old quilt that my Grandmother Marlin made for her many years ago. I remember this quilt being on our bed growing up. The quilt had many holes and in very bad shape. (Don't you just love the quilting details.) She told my brother he could have it to cover up cabinets he was moving. I just couldn't stand the thought of that. So, I told him I would make him a pillow out of the scraps. Hope he likes it. I made 6 pillows from it.

Noodlehead clutch
I'm off to the Endodontist this morning for a recheck on my root canal. I had promised the assistant I would make her a little clutch. She likes little pink flowers so I used this adorable sheet and used Noodlehead's pattern again.
That was 3 weeks ago. Guess what? Last night I started on it. I have a fractured wrist so I'll blame it on that. Although I've pretty much done what I wanted with this bum wrist. I go tomorrow for another xray. Hope I can get this cast off.

Vintage Sheet Curtains
Just finished these curtains for my sewing room. From a vintage sheet. I had already made an ironing board cover. I think I'll use the rest to refinish my chairs. Just got tired of looking at ugly white blinds. What a nice change.

Diaper Bag for Ezra
This diaper bag is for my friend Jessica and her baby Ezra. I know she loves owls (like me). The owl is the same pattern as my apron my Mom made here. I enlarged it to 125%. The bag pattern is one of my favorites for diaper bags . I used it here when Jessica had her baby girl. Inside is a thrifted sheet which I just love. Outside is Amy Butler Passion Lilly. I've had it for a year and just now using it. I didn't get to go to her shower yesterday. Hope she likes it.

Antiques Collectables
I love collecting little porcelain objects. Some of these I got at Goodwill for a dollar and some at antique stores for under $4.00 (that's my limit). The case came from Hobby Lobby. I loved it because it has that antique feel. I display it proudly in my dining room.
