Had to get a new camera. It got dunked in a cup of water on Christmas Day. I really like my new one. It's Panasonic Lumix from Best Buy.

Merry Christmas to all
These are the Christmas times I remember as a kid. I was the first grandchild, then Vickie, my Aunt Lorene is 3 years older. Christmas in these pictures was the year our house burned. It happened 2 days before Christmas. I was 4 years old and still remember it. We stayed with our grandparents until we got another house. We always had a cedar tree.
Their house was only a few miles from us and we spent many days and nights there. I always loved that old house.
HOPE EVERYONE HAS A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES

Jacket made
I really like the way my jacket turned out. I outlined the edges with one of decorative machine stitches. It's so warm.

Last minute gift
My girls have been wanting a manicure set. I've seen them at "The Dollar Tree", but everything is not included in the packs. So I found a set at "Fred's" for a dollar and added a little bling. This could be for a man or woman. I think it is something they can keep for a long time.

Not a hat person but.........
I kind of like this hat. Made from fleece I've had for years and made from Simplicity 4025. I'm planning on making the jacket with the rosette. Didn't have enough for the jacket, but I have this fleece. Wow that was 2 years ago. I know I usually don't appear in photos, but why not. This is me.

Gown for a friend and thrift finds
My friend Stacey brought me this sheet and wanted a gown. I had made her one once before and she really liked wearing them. I used Simplicity 4048. This was a king size sheet so I had enough of the border to use on the yoke. I like the way it turned out.
When I saw this sheet I was reminded of the sheet Kylie used in her quilt blocks.

Making ornaments, dog and pj's
Layla and I made this dog for her friend Josie for Christmas. We had a great time decorating ornaments. Lots of glitter and glue involved. This one was from a kit.
I got a box of clear glass balls from Goodwill and they glittered them up and put some tiny, colorful ribbons inside.
I finished these pajamas for Layla. Made from very soft flannel. I used Simplicity pattern 2831.
Also made pajamajs and a horse skirt for Ruby. She took them home before I could get a picture.

Layla's curio cabinet
This is the after picture of Layla's curio cabinet. I spray painted it ( "Candy Pink" and spray painted the doorknobs and handle. Layla wanted something to put all of her little breakables in. She put the most fragile things in the drawer for safe keeping. As you can see it looks pretty bad. It was $10.00 at Goodwill and I had been looking for a few months for something like this. I just sanded, took out the glass and spray painted. One of the knobs was missing so I happen to find 2 at home ( I did use 2 cans of spray paint at $4.99 each). They still need to be straightened up on the front.

Christmas finds at Goodwill
I went in to Goodwill today looking for Christmas things and that's what I found. This very cute tin (which I love). A huge bowl for adding ornaments and lights. I plan on adding some greenery.

Christmas Jewerly Hanger
Here's the very horrible before picture of my Christmas jewelry. They have always been crammed in a little box. I was just getting tired of searching and digging. Soooooooooooooo
I made my own personal Christmas jewelry hanger. I cut out a piece of Cross stitch Aida 11 count (14 count would be better). Then I hotguled the ribbon around the edges, hangers on each side and a bow on the front. Then add your jewelry. The aida cloth is pretty sturdy. I wanted something I could hang earrings and pins. It will only stay up about 28 more days. So hopefully it will last that long. Disregard the glue strings.

Ruby's horse outfit
My little sweet Ruby loves horses so she needed a horse outfit. I got the fabric especially for her at Joann's. I used Simplicity pattern 2483. It was very easy to follow. I lined the vest with this adorable flannel and she wanted to make it reversible. I just added buttons to each side and now I'll be making a skirt to match this. She picked out this vintage button from the buttons I won on Deb's giveaway.
