Rugby sewing machine
Lori's father-in-law gave me this Rugby sewing machine. It was originally a treadle machine and a motor was added. The machine itself works, but no shuttle (bobbin). I guess there will be no sewing on it. The 2 drawers on the right are missing. I've looked on the internet and haven't be able to find much on a Rugby machine.

Kylie's block
It's hard to believe that this is my last block. I've mailed out all 11 and made 1 for me. I'm really going to miss this. Can't wait to work on another quilting bee. As soon as I get my quilt made I will post it. Thanks Deb.

Jessica's block, new top and skirt for me
I love the sheets Jessica provided for the block. They are so soft and sweet. Hope she likes it.
My new skirt is from a curtain I had made a fews ago. It makes a much nicer skirt.
The top was thrifted for $.99. I used this tutorial from My Mama Said. Very easy to make. I'm wearing both tonight when we go out to dinner with my step daughter and her family.

Circle glasses thrifted
Just love these adorable glasses I got at Goodwill today. Also thrifted lots of $.99 shirts to refashion. I'm washing them now and plan on getting at least one made today. See ya.

The Honey Pot
If you watch American Pickers's you know what they call a Honey Pot. Some people would say a Mother Lode. This Goodwill store in Dickson always has the best selection and they don't charge as much as the other Goodwills. They charge $1.99 for any sheet. The other's charge $2.99 for full and queen and $3.99 for king. I saw at least 3 more I wanted to get, but didn't. I couldn't tell you if any of them are vintage, but who cares (not me).
I think I'm going to use this as the backing on my Vintage Sheet Sewing Bee blocks. I fell in love with it. It is a full size sheet.
This is a queen size duvet that someone made and it is awesome. I'm using it on my bed. Also got a queen sheet like the flowered one to use for shams or curtains.

2 more blocks and 2 to go
It's hard to believe there are only 2 blocks to finish. I don't have the fabric yet, but can't wait to get started. It's so much fun to create a block. My points aren't perfect, but I try so hard to get them perfect.
This block is for Christina.

Anissa's Block
This is Anissa's block. It will be traveling to Auckland, New Zealand which will take at least 10 days. Sheets from New Zealand are really beautiful. They're very different from the U.S.

Yard Sale Find
Thomas took me to a yard sale yesterday after therapy. They had lots of quilt tops for $15 each. I picked out the this one, which is a full size and hand stitched. I washed it and hung out to dry. I love it.

The Feisty Stitcher
Knee surgery went great. I had a torn meniscus and plica. Have to stay off of it until tomorrow, then I'll go to physical therapy. I've had no pain so far (no medications).
I got The Feisty Stitcher at Joann's last week. I see so many projects I want to do.
Here's a few samples

Pyrex and sheet
Another beautiful sheet. Just not sure how I'll sure it yet.
Leslie's Block
Leslie sent some very beautiful fabrics, but I needed a lighter fabric for the triangles. Also she didn't have enough to do them all the same color. I think it turned out pretty. I'll be senting it out today.

Working on a snowball and 9 patch quilt
Working on the Vintage Sewing Bee made me want to start another quilt and challenge myself. I've always wanted to try the snowball block.
I got my pattern from Better Homes and Gardens Teach yourself to Machine-Quilt (from Joann's).
Snowball patch is combined with a nine-patch block and has triangles along the border. I'm only using my scraps and any fabrics I have that will match.

Shirred Nightgowns
I'm really getting addicted to shirring. I made 3 gowns for the girls. This first one is my favorite. I love the embroidery at the bottom.
I forgot to add this tutorial came from Flossie Teacakes.

New dress on Etsy
Tried my hand at shirring the top on this pillowcase dress. I really like it. Just added it to my shop. My Mom had given me the adorable crocheted lace at the bottom of the dress. It's cotton and probably about 30 years old. The pillowcase was already embroidered when I got it.
