Elsa and Anna Dresses

It has been a while but I have been really busy sewing and crafting.
My precious girls wanted to dress like Elsa and Anna when they attended the Frozen On Ice last Sunday. I mostly followed the McCall's M7000 pattern. Ruby wanted her dress to be the cornation dress so I had to do some altering. Layla's drape is different from the pattern. They did have a good time and lots of kids were dressed in costumes.

New Wallet and Cushion

Really needed a new wallet with lots of places for cards. This one holds 38(also great for holding coupons). It was a free tutorial from Infarrantly Creative.  The instructions were fairly easy but I had to go over it a lot to figure out some of the sewing.  The outside fabric is a shower curtain I got at Target for $4.00 and also made a cushion below.

Outer Limits Comic Book Store

First of all I'm so proud of my son Anthony owner of Outer Limits Comic Book Store in Franklin, Tn. He's either worked there or owned the place for 15 years. He loves his job and that's what it's all about. He's moving into a bigger store and he's letting me sell some of my creations.
The first bag is a simple batman clutch.

A bigger bag with some of the super women. Lots of pockets inside.

I do love these Spock and Captain Kirk. He has already sold a set of these. The pattern is from Michelle Coffee on etsy.

Harley Quinn is adorable. This pattern is also from Michelle Coffee. Had to make this for my grandkids.

This bag is a Marvel Comics bag. Also sold one of these.

Layla's 2 New Skirts

Layla is so different from Ruby when it comes to clothes. She likes skirts not dresses. I really love this pattern and plan on making it again.  It is Simplicity 4264.  I got her this fabric at Joann's because she's kind of picky about her fabric. She loves the color blue and owls.

I couldn't believe she picked out this sheet with the border. It turned out beautiful.

Her kitty loved the skirt.

Ruby's 3 New Outfits

Ruby picked out 3 fabrics and patterns from my stash. Yesterday I made all 3. The first fabric I think came from Sally. The pattern is McCall's 5798.  It turned out beautiful but it took a long time to make. All those ruffles.

Then I made an easy one from Simplicity 2437.  I had bought this fabric to make something for myself, but she had always admired it.

This one I didn't use a pattern.  I had planned on making a purse, but it looks so cute on her.

2 New Burlap Bags

Made a couple more bags to sell. I'm really loving the burlap. This one is my favorite. I'm trying to use the whole image on the bag so sometimes they are pretty bag.

This one is even bigger.  I can see taking it to the flea market and filling it with lots of goodies.

Please check them out on etsy.

Burlap Maket Bag

Finished another burlap bag.  This one is huge at 18 inches wide.  Lots of room on the inside. It could be used as a market bag or diaper bag. The straps are 35 inches long.  Now for sale on Etsy.

The inside has 6 huge pockets for all the goodies.

Burlap Coffee Bags

I found some great coffee bags online at Amazon. This was an awesome bag and I was making it to sell. When my daughter saw it she just had to have it. So this is for you Lori. Hope you enjoy it.

I have about 5 cut out and ready to sew and add to etsy. So check them out later on this week.

Sewing for People Ruby and Layla Love

My sweet grandkids come home after school and insisted I need to make purses for their teachers. (After all they are the 2 best teachers in the world according to them). They sat down and designed a bag and told me what the teachers liked.  Ruby's teacher loves birds and ruffles so this looked like it could be for her. Ruby's version had lots of ruffles on the straps.

This pattern is Butterick 4822.

Layla's teacher needed something simple for on the go. Layla's version had lots of lace at the bottom and a green button. This pattern is Noodlehead Envelope Clutch.

Ruby's friend Gracie wanted a book bag that had a puppy dog face. My own design.

They all had great reviews and everyone was happy.
