The shower

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Lelia got so many things at the shower. Everything she needs for the baby and more. It was a big success.

Someone my brother knows was going to throw away this quilt top, so he knew I would like it. It's not even a twin size, but would make a nice throw. Material for the back was also included.

Baby Shower gifts

These are for my niece for her baby shower. She's having a boy (Aiden Cole). The diaper bag is made from Mccalls 4403. This is the third one I've made with this pattern. Got the material at a Hancock store that went out of business 2 years ago. The lining is a thrifted sheet. Also made a little zipper bag to go with it.

The crib organizer is from Mccalls 3630. I've made the quilt, crib skirt and the organizer for Lori when Layla was born.

Now I'm working on a blanket.

Finally finished it

Can't believe it's done. Nothing too complicated about it, but I love it and it is so warm. Just did simple quilting by hand. Made two simple pillows envelope style.

I'm doing Thanksgiving at my house this year, so I will really be busy with that for a few days. This Saturday having a Baby Shower for my niece and I need to start on my sewing project for her. Will share that later

Still quilting

I've been so involved in my quilting I can't seem to do anything else. It is warm and cozy and I can't wait to get it finished. Had to buy more backing material. Bought the backing 2 years ago so I wasn't sure if I could match it. I think it matches close enough.
My daughter bought me these beautiful ornaments at a thrift store. One is dated 1978 the year my son was born and the other is 1979 the year she was born. I can't wait to put them on my tree.

Quilt and the weather

Still working on that quilt. Decided to hand quilt. I did a lot on the machine, then decided it didn't look good, so had to take it out. Can't wait to show you the whole thing.

We have had so much nice weather here. Haven't had rain in a while, hoping it will come tonight. The leaves are in their prime right now.

We had a Happy Halloween

We all had so much fun. My babies were so adorable. Jakob didn't feel well so he didn't trick or treat with us, but I made him put on his costume for a picture. The girls shared their candy. They went to bed at 9:00. So wore out.

Layla's Birthday

Layla had a wonderful birthday party last weekend. Happy number 5. Her Dad came home from Texas for 3 days which made her very happy. Love you my big girl.
